A vestige of U.S. Steel’s Homestead plant. During WWII, this plant produced more than 1/3 of America’s steel. It’s since shuttered, and the area plays home to a mall. Homestead struggles to find its way in the post-steel world. The banner in front advertises luxury homes and shopping.
